Race pics

Shamrock Shuffle 2012
On Roosevelt, looks like a freaking death march behind me.

 2011
Again on Roosevelt bridge and I did my best Dean Karnazes thumbs up.

2009
Going down Columbus at my first Shuffle. A huffing and a puffing.

Looking at past race pics can be good and bad. Good in the fact that I know I've come a long way from the wool gloves and way to many layers in my first race. Bad in the fact that I've gained a lot of weight from that first race. OR at least it feels like I have. It feels like I have made no progress in regards to my body. Not going to kid myself I know I gained it all back.

I am working on my positivity this week and it's been really hard. My 45 year old cousin was experiencing chest pains a few days ago and had an angiogram yesterday where they put in a stent after finding 90% blockage. :( With our family history of heart disease it was very upsetting. I don't want to end up that way in just 5 short years.

I must take care of myself!  I must take care of myself!!!

the thing about weight is sometimes we make it harder than it should be. I know i've been there for sure, but you have a runners determination and that means once it's right and you want it, you'll get it
